During Covid Coffee Mornings have gone online and now takes the format of being split into 2 breakout rooms. Come and enjoy a coffee and biscuit whilst taking part from the comfort of your own home. You will have a choice of rooms.
One room receives a crossword and as a group, they individually complete this crossword. Participants give clues to each other and it is very friendly and expands the mind.
The other room is used for one of three things:
- Pictionary, where a secret word is sent to one person, who draws the picture and everyone else guesses what it is (we can teach you really quickly how to do this - so don't worry if you have not done it before).
- Interesting talks by invited speakers on different topics.
- Discussions on brain injury and what you or the group are going through at that moment in time (good and bad things). Peer support is so beneficial and you realise you are not alone.
Every Wednesday 11am-12 noon. Be as active in the session you choose as you want to, or just listen. You can be joined with a member of your family or carer, if it makes it easier for you.
This is a FREE SERVICE and is available to anyone with an Acquired Brain Injury. However, to enable us to provide this service, if you use it on a regular basis, we would like to encourage you to join our Friends of Headway Surrey scheme for £36 a year to help us.
