Merrist Wood Public Services £2,024
The class of 2018 Public Service Students from Merrist Wood achieved a record fundraising record of £2,024 for Headway Surrey.
During the year the young adults carried out a range of activities to raise much needed funds. This included street collections in Guildford and Woking town centres, competing in a Tough Mudder run and then finally throwing themselves out of a perfectly good airplane to skydive! In addition, they also helped us to dig out the garden area of Headway Surrey in advance of a total garden makeover.
Lead Tutor, Paul Mizzi, said “This is our second year of being a charity partner for Headway Surrey. I am very proud of the students achievements and look forward to next year’s events with our Merrist Wood, Public Services Level 3 Extended Diploma Students and hopefully we will raise even more money for such a worthy cause. I would particularly like to thank Azor Freemasons Lodge (Farnham) for such a generous donation to the charity.”
