Introduction to Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) presented by Jo Jones Baxter, Rehabilitation Coordinator.  Free 30-minute zoom session. Would you like to learn more about acquired brain injury (ABI)?

An informative introduction to ABI and specialised topics with an opportunity for Q&A at the end if time allows. 

Different topics will be added during the year.

All professionals welcome. lawyers, case managers, health professionals, social care professionals, OTs, SLTs, physiotherapists, benefit providers, domestic abuse organisations, veterans, CAB etc. 

Held on different weekdays and at slightly different times to allow as many people as possible to participate.

Link Worker Presentations

For any professionals, lawyers, case managers, health and social care etc to explain the range of services that Headway Surrey provides, how to refer, how to seek support.  Delivered by an ABI Link Worker online or in person.  Find out more about us. 

These presentations are free and can be adapted in length.  They can be a quick 10 minute overview or slightly more detailed for 30-45 minutes, followed by Q&A.

Professional Training

Would you like a tailored training session to fit your staff or group needs.  Approximately 90 minutes and includes Q&A. 

Some of the topics previously covered have been the effects of brain injury and fatigue, brain injury and information processing problems, how to understand a brain injury, injury lawyers and client issues. 

Your staff or group can ask general questions to improve their knowledge of brain injury in connection with their work and we will provide answers that may include ideas and strategies to use in problematic situations.  The charge for this service is from £200.  Please email: enquiries@headwaysurrey.org

One to One Individual or Family Sessions

We offer one to one education sessions on zoom for individuals or family groups to educate and support on individual issues.

We have a range of sessions suitable for young people aged between 18 and 35.
