Michael More-Molyneux, Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey

Michael More-Molyneux is the President of Headway Surrey and he has lived in the county all his life.

His family has been there for five centuries. A businessman, he runs Loseley Park Farms. He is a former Chair of Visit Surrey and President of the Surrey County Agricultural Society. He is a main Board member of the Historic Houses Association (HHA) and also chairs the south-east region of the HHA and is a Director of the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. He also gives active support to a number of voluntary causes. These include Shooting Star Chase; the military, as Vice-President of the Surrey Branch of SSAFA; and as Chairman of the Guildford Cathedral Appeal. The More-Molyneux family donated land to build a children’s hospice which is named after their middle son Christopher. Michael More-Molyneux lives at Loseley with his wife Sarah above. They have two surviving sons and a daughter.

Six months after his appointment as Lord-Lieutenant by HM The Queen, he said: “I am committed to encouraging and supporting the voluntary, charitable and faith sectors, benevolent organisations and the industrial, business and social life of our county. The welcome that I have received thus far from communities and individuals across Surrey has been inspirational and energising and I relish developing my role."
